NFL Week 13 Fantasy Preview

Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL season. We are going to be going over most of the games to give you a fantasy preview of each. There will be a few games left off, as they don’t have a ton of fantasy noteworthy players in them. I will give you some insight for both season long leagues, along with some interesting options if you play Daily Fantasy Sports. So sit back, read up, and let’s win the week.

Vikings at Falcons

This should be one of the games of the week, not only from a fantasy perspective, but just a real football game. The Vikings do have a good defense, but have allowed 20 or more points in three recent road games. We also know they have a good offense with plenty of options, Diggs, Thielen, Rudolph and Murray, who are all in play, since the Falcons don’t have a great defense. This could be a sneaky shootout spot, and we could be in for some fantasy goodness. On the Atlanta side of things, we have seen their offense start to really turn things around these past few weeks, and are in form. We should see Vikings top cornerback, Xavier Rhodes shadow Julio Jones, which means his upside may be limited. But with that said, the other options on the Falcons are in play, Sanu, Gabriel, and Freeman are all good picks.

Patriots at Bills

This game is going to be all about the Pats. Bills really don’t stand a chance in this game, and the only real option on the team is LeSean McCoy. He sees plenty of work in the run and pass game, so his potential will be there if they are up or down. For the Pats, the play of the day is Rob Gronkowski, as he is from Buffalo, and has seven career touchdowns in six games AT Buffalo. If you are playing DFS this week, you should try to get up to his salary in at least a few of your lineups. We will also see Chris Hogan out for yet another game, so Brandin Cooks will see another bump in targets. The running game for the Pats is always a point of mystery and not a spot I would want to attack.

Buccaneers at Packers

This game also has plenty of shootout potential, because of how bad both of these defenses are. Really all options are on the board for either team, and the big news for this is that Jameis Winston will be back at QB for the Bucs. Should be a big boost for them, and increases their potential against a weak Packers secondary. On the Packer side of the ball, we will see Jamaal Williams get the start at running back, and he is looking to be one of the more popular picks in DFS this week, one because he is cheap, and two because of the favorable matchup. All the receivers are in play, and you should be starting them in all leagues.

Texans at Titans

This divisional match up looks to be one sided, as the Titans are in a spot to pick up the win, and continue to go for that division title. The Texans have really struggled on defense this season after all their injuries, and someone like Corey Davis for the Titans, could be in for a big game. Marcus Mariota is also in a good spot, since he has the rushing upside, and the dual threat from the QB is huge, especially in DFS. On the other side, we have a struggling Tom Savage, who is very turnover prone, so the Titans, defense isn’t a bad pick. The one bright spot for the Texans is DeAndre Hopkins, who sees plenty of targets no matter if they are up or down. Good pick in DFS this week, because he PPR value is so high.

Chiefs at Jets

This game has some interesting notes in it, so let’s dive in. The Chiefs are on a major decline right now, and specifically their defense. The Jets have shown over the past few weeks, which they can actually put up some good points on offense, and a Jets stack could be a good option in DFS. Their running game isn’t something I want any part of, so stick with ASJ, Robbie Anderson and Josh McCown. On the Chiefs side of the ball, they should be on upset alert, given how bad they are playing lately. Bit of a Jekyll and Hyde performance from them this season, as they started the season so strong, but now look terrible. The only real option on offense for them is Travis Kelce, who is one of the top tight ends in the league, and seems to bounce back after every bad game he has, and had one of those last week.

Browns at Chargers

This game is going to be very one sided as the Chargers are 14 point home favorites. No real options on the Cleveland side of the ball, so let’s look at the Chargers. You can really go any which way you want with the Chargers this week, and should key in on their passing game, since the Browns are so bad in the secondary. Rivers to Keenan Allen looks to be one of the top stacks for the week, and should carry some high ownership in DFS. Hunter Henry is also a top option, since the Browns are one of the flow chart teams, where you simply roster any tight end that is going up against the Browns. Don’t sleep on someone like Tyrell Williams, as he always has down field, big play potential.

Giants at Raiders

The Raiders are going to be without both Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree, so that means, Seth Roberts, and Johnny Holton should be seeing plenty of action in the passing game. Also tight end Jared Cook is a good option, as he is now the most veteran passing catching option for Derek Carr. The Giants decided to bench Eli Manning this week, and Geno Smith will be getting the start. He is very, very turnover prone, and the Raiders defense, although not very good, is a very popular option this week when it comes to DFS. Sneaky shootout and upside in this game, since both teams are weak defensively.

Panthers at Saints

This might one of the games of the week, as we have the Saints looking to bounce back after their first loss in eight weeks. They are at home where they tend to excel, and have a ton of offensive weapons as we all know. Both running backs, Ingram and Kamara are top picks this week, and we have Ted Ginn revenge game going up against his former team. The Saints may be without top corner Marshon Lattimore, so that could be a boost for the Carolina passing game, and specially, Devin Funchess, who should be seeing more volume, given the injuries to the other options in the Carolina offense. Neither defense is a great pick, but as a GPP option, they aren’t too bad.

Eagles at Seahawks

In what should be the best game of the week, we have the high flying Eagles going cross country for a Sunday night showdown with the Seahawks. The Eagles are the best team in the NFC this season, and are looking to lock up the division title sooner rather than later. The Seattle defense is really lacking, and have lost so many of their key guys. You shouldn’t be afraid of them, which makes all of the weapons for the Eagles in play. Look to Alshon Jeffrey and Zach Ertz to be the main options, with someone like Torrey Smith as the deep ball threat. For the Seahawks, they basically have no running game, and are putting the ball in Russell Wilson’s hands and saying go win us the game. He is throwing the ball more and more, and are projected to be down in this game, which makes him all the more interesting pick, especially when it comes to DFS.
