NFL Week 6 Recap

Back again with another NFL weekly recap to take a look at some notable performances from the past week. A bit of good a bit of bad and some players you want to keep an eye on as the season goes on. You will want to be targeting them in DFS or some players on the waiver wire you might be able to pick up. Great time of the season and before you know it, we will be looking at the playoff picture for the NFL and your fantasy leagues.

Buccaneers at Falcons

This game had plenty of fantasy goodness all-around an ended with a bit of dramatics. Jameis Winston started his first games of the season, where he posted 395 yards, four touchdowns, and two picks. He is going to be a viable fantasy option in really every game since the Bucs defense is so bad, they will be trailing and have to throw the ball. No Bucs receiver had more than six catches or more than 82 yards, so they are really spreading the ball around. OJ Howard, Chris Godwin, Peyton Barber, and Cameron Brate all caught touchdowns. On the other side, Matt Ryan threw for three touchdowns and 355 yards. Tevin Coleman was a popular play in DFS, who was bailed out by a late receiving touchdown. Julio Jones had a 10/144/0 stat line and still has yet to find the end zone this year. Austin Hooper turned in another big performance with 9/71/1. It was a solid game in DFS and you should be targeting the Bucs and Falcons weekly for DFS picks.

Steelers at Bengals

We didn’t get usual “Road Ben” people were expecting, but rather 369 yards and three touchdowns. The Steelers are turning things around and the fantasy value of their players is rising. James Conner did his thing in his new role with 111 yards on the ground on 19 carries, with four catches in the passing game. Antonio Brown came through late with a 48-yard touchdown, which put him over 100 yards. JuJu Smith-Schuster led the team in yards and tied for receptions with Vance McDonald at seven. Andy Dalton didn’t have a great game with only 229 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Boyd was the standout performer for the Bengals with 7/62/2 stat line. The Bengals will be in a shootout this upcoming week against the Chiefs in a game which has an over-under set at 58.

Chargers at Browns

Phil Rivers put up another multi-touchdown game but only threw the ball 20 times with 11 completions. Both of those touchdowns went to Tyrell Williams, who had over 100 yards on only three catches. The real story for the Chargers was Melvin Gordon, who had three touchdowns on the ground with over 130 yards. The Browns didn’t do much on offense with only 14 total points, but the interesting point is the fact they are playing the Buccaneers who are one of the worst defenses in the league this year, so we should be in for some points there.

Colts at Jets

We had a bit of a shootout here, which was not something I was personally expecting. Sam Darnold had two touchdowns, Andrew Luck had four touchdowns but he also had three picks. The Jets lost Quincy Enunwa to an injury and won’t be seeing the field this upcoming week. We should see Jermaine Kearse in a larger role, which is something to keep an eye on. No Colts receiver had more than five receptions or more than 71 yards, showing they spread the ball around plenty. Eric Ebron had yet another touchdown and should continue to be a viable fantasy touchdown.

Rams at Broncos

We all knew this game was going to be a huge spot for Todd Gurley and did all of that plus more. 28 rushing attempts for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Massive numbers from him and his price is still viable to get to in DFS, so you should be doing that in as many spots as you can. Robert Woods had over 100 yards, but with Goff not having any touchdowns, no receiver had a big day. Cooper Kupp was hurt in this game and will be out for the next game. Case Keenum had a 322/2/1 stat line which is good enough for a solid fantasy day but is not working out in real NFL. Emmanuel Sanders had a 7/115/1 stat line and is still the number one receiver for the Broncos.

Chiefs at Patriots

This game had all of the points. It was back and forth all game and if you missed it, you need to go back and watch the highlights. Tom Brady had over 300 yards, one passing touchdo, n and one rushing touchdown. Sony Michel had 24/106/2 stat line and is the “rushing” back while James White is the “pass catching” back. On the Chiefs side of things, they were firing on all cylinders with Patrick Mahomes having 352/4/2 stat line and spread the ball around everywhere. Tyreek Hill did his explosive play thing again and had three touchdowns with 142 yards. Kareem Hunt saw plenty of work in the passing game with five catches for 105 yards and touchdown. Travis Kelce had a modest 5/61/0 stat line.
