NHL DFS Picks March 30th, 2019

NHL is back and we are going to be looking at some DFS options for tonight’s slate. We have a 10-game slate, so there are plenty of options across the board and we should see plenty of scoring.

Also, always, always check to make sure the goalie you pick is confirmed as the starter. Nothing worse than making a lineup, and the goalie not playing. There are plenty of good sources on twitter, and websites where you can get that information.

Regardless if I’m playing cash or GPPs, I always have some stacks going in my lineups. In hockey, most goals are scored with assists, so we want to target players who are either on the same line, or on the same power play unit, or both. So these stacks will include both forwards and defenders while making sure they see plenty of ice time together.

William Karlsson, Reilly Smith, Jonathan Marchessault

This is the first forward line and the first power-play unit for the Vegas Golden Knights who are on the road against the Sharks, who have lost seven straight games. In this seven-game losing streak, the Sharks have allowed three or more goals in each game and four or more goals in six games. Those are some truly horrible numbers for one of the top teams in the Western Conference and oddly enough, one of these games was against Vegas. The Golden Knights posted seven goals against the Sharks just last week and we want to be going right back to them tonight. All three players have scored three or more goals in their last five games, along with two of them having taking 10 shots or more. There is no question we want to be attacking this Sharks team, especially since the Golden Knights come in with an implied goal total sitting at 3.02 on the road.

Nazem Kadri, Patrick Marleau, Connor Brown

This is the third forward line for the Maple Leafs who are on the road and come in with an implied team total set at 4.21, which is the highest on the slate. Yes, this line loses a bit of correlation overall since Kadri is on the first power-play unit, Marleau is on the second unit, and Brown isn’t on any power-play. This can potentially limit their upside, but it also means that this stack should be lower owned when it comes to tournaments. The matchup is no doubt a fantastic one since they are up against the Senators, who are a team we’ve been attacking all season long. The Senators are at the bottom of the league in Corsi Against and the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per 60. This sets the Maple Leafs up for a massive game and with the over-under sitting at seven here, you can also look to do a bit of a game stack.

Robin Lehner, Goalie, New York Islanders

This Islanders are at home today and come in as very solid -225 favorites and also have a chance to clinch a playoff spot tonight. This is a huge game for them and they will have their best goalie in between the pipes who comes in with three straight wins, allowing a total of six goals in that span. This is where we’ve seen him all season long, allowing just over two goals per game this year and for some reason is very reasonably priced on FanDuel tonight. Not sure why he is this cheap, but he should be very popular tonight due to this. Great for all formats and there is a slight chance of shutout vs the Sabres tonight.
