Dynasty/Keeper Outlook
Finally back to throwing a football after missing all of the 2017 season, Luck has now played in 22 of the Colts last 58 regular season games. Hardly a comforting statistic for both redraft and dynasty owners. Assuming the extended absence allows him to get back to being the player he was before the injury, Luck is a perennial challenger for the top overall quarterback in fantasy. But a hiccup or two, or the inability to make some of the throws he could coming into the league, immediately threaten that status. At this point all we can do is wait to see what he looks like in the preseason. And even if it's positive, you know there's going to be a measure of risk for the rest of his career.
2018 Season Outlook
Owning Luck this season seems like a move best reserved for those who aren't afraid of volatility on their roster. He could certainly return to being the fantasy stud of seasons past, but it comes with risk. The Colts have done a nice job of improving the offensive line, but the skill positions aren't going to wow anyone, and even if Luck remains healthy some young guys will need to step up for him to have a big season.

A Way Too Cheap Andrew Luck9 Nov 2018 - 4:22pm
Andrew Luck has been one of the most consistent NFL quarterbacks this year for DFS. Luck has thrown at least 3 touchdown passes in the last 5 weeks and is priced at $5,500? I know everyone is afraid of the Jaguars defense but come on. I will be attacking this mispricing heavily this weekend. The Jaguars defense is a shell of what they were last year and I am not afraid of attacking them one bit. Also, Andrew Luck has not been sacked in 3 weeks. Yes, you read that right. The Colts O-Line has been balling out of control as of late and if Andrew Luck has a clean pocket to throw in, he can pick apart any defense around. I think the Jaguars defense has given up. They are feuding, skipping out on bar tabs and getting arrested, and are overall an unstable unit. I can't say I blame them considering they have to watch Blake Bortles throw the ball to the other team all game long. If the Colts get out to an early lead, I can see the wheels falling off of this defense and Andrew Luck going nuclear. Let's take a look at the last 4 weeks for the Jaguars D: PHI- Carson Wentz: 21/30 for 286 yards and 2 TDs I know these aren't eye-popping numbers but with the exception of Patrick Mahomes, Andrew Luck is the most talented quarterback they have faced in this stretch. The Jaguars have also been getting gashed on the ground which makes moving the ball down the field easier on this defense, setting up potential scores. I think Andrew Luck has a floor of 4x his salary this week over on DraftKings and I'll be going very heavy. Load up. BONUS: I also don't hate a game stack here. Being a divisional game in a dome, I think this game has sneaky shootout potential. Good luck this weekend! |
